- ENERGY STAR® Partnership: Our alliance with the ENERGY STAR program illustrates our commitment to energy efficiency. This program creates an energy profile that allows Wells to compare its portfolio to buildings across the country. Over 80% of our ENERGY STAR-rated buildings exceed the national average. In addition, Wells Real Estate was awarded the prestigious Energy Star Partner of the Year award in 2011. There are 20,000 Energy Star Partners, but this recognition was provided to only eight Commercial Real Estate firms, and was earned through strategic and comprehensive management of energy use.
- USGBC® Membership: Wells demonstrates our commitment to sustainability with our membership in the U.S. Green Building Council, the nation's foremost coalition of leaders dedicated to transforming the way buildings are designed, built, and operated.
- LEED Certification: We have acquired or developed eight LEED-certified buildings, including the development of Westinghouse Electric Company's headquarters campus in Cranberry, Pennsylvania, which was built to LEED certification standards.
